2018

Business growth plan for Greece set up. Bike Alert starts considerable investment for growing the business in the Greek market together with supplying East and South European customers from Greece.
2018

Bike Alert Hellas acquires SP Alexopoulos SA, a leading spare parts distribution company in Athens since 1983. New, company-owned, real estate purchased in Athens with the purpose of offices & warehouse building (4.500 m2).
2020

Business plan activated for the business in Greece. 40+ people headcount as of Sep 2022. Bike Alert Hellas becomes the central distribution center for South East Europe.
2020

Reccuring growth yoy from 2020 onwards; Greece inland sales +30% yoy, export sales doubling yoy.
2022

Turnover 2022: 7.500.000€, with 75% of sales within Greece. Presence in more than 80% of Powersports workshops in Greece.
2023

New headquarters and warehouse under construction in Athens.

Estimated completion time: early 2025
2024

Investment in a new privately owned office and warehouse building in Thessaloniki to manage our business in Northern Greece and exports to the Balkan countries.

Bike Alert Group

Timeline

1985

Bike Alert establishes the JT Sprockets brand and starts production in Thailand and distribution in the UK & European markets. JT Sprockets introduces the world’s first C45 high-carbon steel sprocket to the aftermarket.
1985

With other aftermarket brands still using a mild steel, the difference in durability was remarkable. As such JT quickly became the best-selling aftermarket sprocket brand, worldwide.
1990

Bike Alert PLC is registered in the UK and operations move to larger premises in south London.
1992

Bike Alert USA Inc. is incorporated (100% subsidiary of Bike Alert UK) in USA, based in Los Angeles California and starts distribution of JT Sprockets in the US.
1995

Bike Alert USA Inc, relocates to Atlanta Georgia, USA. In 1995, our 2nd home-grown brand is set up: Hiflofiltro, a full range of high-quality oil filters for all motorcycles. Production begins, with the highest manufactruring standards globally.
1997

The consistent filters quality achieved, surpasses in many cases that of the OE filters. TÜV SUD, German certification granted to Hiflofiltro oil filters. It is still the only oil filter brand with TÜV certification.
1997

Hiflofiltro oil filters introduced to the global market. Bike Alert PLC moves to larger, 25,000sq.ft freehold premises in south London.
2001

Hiflofiltro range of products expands with the introduction of air filters, following the same high quality production standards, as the ones of the oil filter range.
2009

Bike Alert INC USA moves to its present 64,500sq.ft freehold facility in Lithia Springs, Atlanta Georgia.
2012

Bike Alert PLC moves to its present 65,500sq.ft freehold facility at Dartfort, Kent.
2014

Portfolio expands, to include BS Batteries for the UK and selected European markets.
2017

Own brand & product portfolio is further expanded to include JT Drive Belts. JT Brake Disks and JT rubber cushioned (OEM type) front sprockets.
2018 - Present

Continuous growth leads to setting up Bike Alert Hellas SA in Greece. From our worldwide HQ in Dartford UK, our North American distribution centre in Atlanta USA and Bike Alert Hellas SA, we supply wholesalers in 80+ countries worldwide.
Future

Since BREXIT, Bike Alert Hellas SA is quickly gearing up through major investments, both in facilities and people, to play a vital role in the future management and growth of the Bike Alert group.
